Performance - Dow Tiempo™+ 2000 TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin)membranes are available in wider widths and designed for use in many roofing applications in commercial, industrial and institutional applications for new, re-roof and re-cover roof construction. The material comes in standard 5' - 8' - 10' X 100' rolls. Many Dow Roofing Systems can be produced in custom lengths (100’ minimum, 32m) to eliminate seams and speed the installation process. Dow Tiempo+2000 membranes exceed the ASTM D-6878-03 specification for TPO roofing.
DIFFERENTIATION - Choices for your special applications. Dow Viento is a high performance PVC membrane based on DuPont's Elvaloy® HP polymer. Elvaloy® HP is a high molecular weight, solids-phase flexibilizer that will not migrate from the sheet and gives Dow Viento its superior physical properties, appearance and color at installation and after many years of exposure to the elements. Available in 45 mil, 50 mil, 60 mil and 80 mil thicknesses. Also See Dow Viento Fleece-Backed Membranes
Dow Roofing Systems brings its vast experience in containment membranes, roofing construction and European green roofs to the United States with the introduction of the Dow GardenTop™ Roofing System which combines superior roofing membrane, insulation components and water management technology to deliver maximum performance, design flexibility and installation efficiency. Together with our European partners, Dow Roofing Systems has been active in the vegetated roof business for over a decade. Many of our European installations would not be possible without conformance to government standards for green roof applications. One of them is the German “FLL” test for evaluating a waterproofing membrane’s ability to resist vegetative root growth. Dow Tiempo™+ membrane has successfully passed the stringent criteria of that program.
Dow Hyperlast Waterproofing and Deck Coating Systems offer specifiers and installers a unique, eco-friendly and sustainable alternative to traditional waterproofing techniques such as hot rubberized asphalt, asphalt membranes, and asphalt coatings. These state-of-the-art polyurethane systems have been researched and developed with the following objectives in mind: quick application, simple and effective detailing, application can be performed at low temperatures, no offensive odor, solvent free, clean and safe, allow fast return of structure use, accommodate rough surfaces, be totally seamless, be a virtually instant setting membrane, require no protection board, require no root barrier, be less temperature dependent, offer reduced labor costs, and provide an unrivalled warranty. Three groups of application specifications are available to help with your design issues:
The growing popularity of verdant roof gardens, such as green roofs and plaza decks that help improve environmental quality, aesthetics and urban air quality, requires a contemporary waterproofing material that balances economy and high performance with flexibility in installation and use. The application of Dow VERDISEAL membrane systems are environmentally friendly as they do not use bitumen or hot kettles that cause noxious fumes, need open flames or solvents. VerdiSeal applications include plaza decks, green roofs, and protected roof membrane applications.
Dow Traffideck is a flexible, liquid-applied, waterproof, protective coating system for structures with vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Each specification is fast curing for quick reopening of the structure, high build, solvent free, and odorless. These high performance deck coating systems' typical uses include parking decks, walkways, loading docks, mechanical rooms, terraces, and balconies. The systems contain no VOCs and have no offensive odor. They withstand vehicular traffic in as little as 6 hours after application and Dow will provide an industry best no dollar limit, labor and material warranty.
Dow Hyperkote specifications are available for water and fluid containment applications such as reflecting pools, water features, potable water tanks, sewage treatment plants including digesters, sedimentation tanks, sumps and secondary containment areas. Dow Hyperkote™ materials are based on polyurethane and polyurea technology and they have been developed to protect and extend the design life of a variety of substrates in addition to concrete. The products are solvent free and therefore are zero VOC rated.
